What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website — when visited by a user — asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference or login information. We use cookies and similar technologies (collectively referred to as "cookies") to collect and use data as part of our Platform.
Why do we use cookies?
Without cookies, every time you open a new page the server would treat you as a completely new visitor. Cookies allow DealOasis to remember who you are, keep you logged in, show you personalised deals, and ensure the site works correctly. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, but some features of DealOasis may no longer function properly.
Cookies we use to run the platform
These cookies are necessary for DealOasis to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| supabase-auth-token | Session | Keeps you logged in during your visit. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase). |
| sb-refresh-token | 30 days | Allows DealOasis to keep you logged in across sessions when you choose 'Remember me'. |
| cookie_policy_accepted | 12 months | Remembers that you have acknowledged our cookie policy so we don't show the banner repeatedly. |
| deal_sort_preference | 12 months | Remembers your preferred sort order (Yummy or New) so the feed loads the way you like. |
| city_filter | 12 months | Stores your last selected city filter (e.g. Dubai, Abu Dhabi) to personalise your deal feed. |
